Paper Route Empire and IdaMae Family Foundation to Honor Young Dolph on Dolph Day 2024 in November

This November 17th marks three years since the passing of Adolph Thornton Jr., better known to the world as Young Dolph. More than just a legendary rapper, Dolph was a respected community leader and business owner, who escaped poverty and used his considerable resources to give back.

Since his passing, November 17th has been officially designated the Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton Jr. Day of Service in Tennessee and Georgia, and for the third straight year, Dolph’s foundation, the IdaMae Family Foundation, and his label, Paper Route Empire, will honor his legacy with #DolphDay. Featuring official events in cities like Memphis, Atlanta, and more throughout the Weekend of November 15th, #DolphDay encourages fans around the world to take a moment to perform an act of service for their community. No act of service is too small.

“Service Day weekend is about making the time to give back to those around you and or assisting your local communities as Young Dolph did on a regular basis,” says Dolph’s sister, Carlisa Brown. “As he stated, “You only get one shot at life, one life to live. Make the most out of it and put as many smiles as you can on people’s faces, help as many people as you can.” That will always be the message surrounding a day of remembrance for my beloved brother.”

On November 16th, the IdaMae Family Foundation will host two events in the city of Memphis. The foundation will host “Golf For Dolph,” an event at Memphis’s Top Golf location, offering a fun-filled evening of golfing, food, drinks, networking and more, with ticket options for golfers and general admission for non-golfers, with food and beverages included for all tickets. The event will also include a silent auction, raffles, and giveaways. Proceeds from “Golf For Dolph” will benefit Dorothy Day House, a charitable organization that provides temporary housing to homeless and disadvantaged families and individuals. Guests are encouraged to bring a new book or an unopened toy to be given away to children at the Dorothy Day House. Buy tickets and find more information about “Golf For Dolph” HERE
